Zhang Xing is DEYI 德逸’s Chinese interior designer. Through his own ethical design philosophy, he aims to enhance people’s lives and foster a deeper connection with Nature. In his design practice, he frequently collaborates with contemporary artists from diverse backgrounds. His primary goal is to inspire and challenge individuals through his designs, prompting them to reflect on life’s essence and contemporary global issues.

Zhang Xing is deeply passionate about exploring Chinese traditional culture and art, aspiring to share his knowledge across different countries. During his free time, he immerses himself in the study of tea wisdom and the guqin (an ancient Chinese instrument). He also dedicates himself to studying Chan/Zen philosophy, which provided him a new spiritual perspective on life. Zhang Xing aims to convey his reflections through ethical design, believing that various worldviews and ancient traditions offer valuable spiritual insights.

Through DEYI 德逸, and drawing on his 30 years of design experience, he hopes to develop cross-cultural projects that make a genuine global impact. He is committed to using his designs to safeguard the invaluable craftsmanship and cultural heritage of ethnic minority regions in China.
