Batik is a fabric printing technique that has been used in China for thousands of years. It consists in drawing patterns on cotton with hot wax. The fabric is then soaked in a bath of natural indigo dye. The fibers covered by the wax remain white. After the dye, the fabric is soaked in boiling water to melt the wax and let the beautiful pattern appear.
DEYI 德逸 develops with the local craftsmen contemporary batik patterns. We aspire to revive these ancestral techniques through a new regard.
